DSSSB TGT PGT PET Education Qualification Details

Eligibility

PGT Teacher – Post Graduate Degree in relevant Subjects and Degree / Diploma in training /Education.

Physical Education Teacher – Graduate with Bachelor’s of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or its equivalent

TGT Computer Science – Bachelor degree in Computer Application (BCA) OR Graduation in Computer Science OR BE/B.Tech (computer Science/Information Technology) OR Graduation in any subject and ‘A’ level course from DOEACC.

TGT Special Education Teacher – Graduate with B.Ed (Special Education) or B.Ed. with a two years Diploma in Special Education or Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education and Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the CBSE.

Note: The Examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi & English) except for the Language papers which would be in the language concerned only. There is no provision of re-evaluation/re-checking of Answer Sheets/Answer Scripts in respect of the examinations conducted by DSSSB.

DSSSB TGT PGT PET Teacher Selection Process

The selection shall be made through One Tier and Two Tier examination scheme and Skill Test wherever applicable.

The DSSSB TGT PGT PET selection of the candidates shall be made on the basis of the Online Test/Written Examination and interview. The DSSSB TGT PGT PET Online Test/Written Examination will be conducted in English or Any Languages. The Board reserves the right to cancel a part or entire process of examination or a part of it due to administrative reason(s) and in case of unfair means, cheating or other irregularities/ malpractice noticed by the Board. The Board also reserves the right to cancel or set up a new examination centre and divert the candidates to appear at that examination centre if required.

 

DSSSB TGT PGT PET Teacher Syllabus for Subject Wise

One Tier

(General/Technical) Examination

Section-A

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s General Awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to History, Polity, Constitution, Sports, Art & Culture, Geography, Economics, Everyday Science, Scientific Research, National/International Organizations /Institutions etc.

General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability: The syllabus of General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability includes questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. Test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship, concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series etc.

Arithmetical & Numerical Ability : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretation, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs etc.

Hindi Language & Comprehension and English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English and Hindi Languages, questions on its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc. would also be covered.

SECTION B

(Applicable only for one Tier Technical only): Post specific subject related questions: Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions on the subject concerned as per the qualification prescribed in the Recruitment Rules for the post.

Two Tier

Examination Schemes:

1. Syllabus of TIER-I Exam will be same as of One Tier exam.
2. Syllabus of TIER-II Exam:

Part-I (MCQ/Objective type)

General Intelligence & reasoning ability – same as in One Tier exam but with slightly higher level.

Quantitative Aptitude – In addition to Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities as in tier-I with slightly higher level, there will be questions on data interpretation & Analysis.

General Awareness in addition to topics given for Tier-I there shall be question on history, culture, demography, geography & economy of Delhi, Administrative set up and Governance in NCT of Delhi, various schemes of Delhi Govt.

English language & Comprehension – same as in tier-I but with slightly higher level.

Part-II : (Descriptive)

As per the Examination Scheme mentioned in the Annexure-I.

EXAM DATE & CENTRE

The Board reserves the right to cancel any centre of exam and ask the candidates of that centre to appear at another centre. The Board also reserves the right to direct candidates of any centre to some other centre to take the Exam. DSSSB TGT PGT PET Teacher Answer Sheet

The candidate will be supplied carbonless O M R (Optical mark Reader) answer sheet consisting of two (2) copies the original copy and the duplicate copy below. Do not attempt to separate or displace them while answering without the carbon impression paper provided to the candidates. The candidate will be admitted to take the examination at the Centre specified in the Admission Certificate only and at no other Centre. The candidate has to indicate his response to each question by darkening the appropriate bubble with a Black Ball Point pen. No corrections with white fluid will be permitted.

Eligibility or Qualification for DSSSB TGT PGT Examination

In Two Tier examinations, Tier I exam to be used for short listing only. Selection will be made on the basis of marks obtains in Tier II Examination.

The Board at its discretion may dispense with the Tier-I exam and directly conduct the Tier-II examination incase the number of eligible candidates/applicants for the post codes whose examination schemes are Two Tier is lesser in number (i.e. not very high).

Negative Marking will be applicable and deduction of 0.25 marks will be made for each wrong MCQ answer.

The minimum qualifying marks for one Tier/Two Tier written examination (Objective/Descriptive Type) is as under (pls. refer notice No. F.4(130)/P&P/13/DSSSB/20-33 dated 26/04/2013 available on the website of the Board):-

• General :40%
• OBC (Delhi) :35%
• SC/ST/PH (PwD) :30%

Ex-servicemen will be given 5% relaxation in their respective categories subject to a minimum of 30%.

The Board reserves its right to prescribe a minimum cut off mark for any post as per availability of candidates.

Skill test / Endurance test will be taken as per requirement of job.

Certificate Verification

In the examination hall, the call letter along with the candidate’s currently valid photo identity, in original, such as PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Photo identity proof issued on original letter head by a Gazzetted Officer/People’s Representative or Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ University (valid in current year)/Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID, should be submitted to the invigilator for verification.

Note: The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the call letter and in the Attendance List. If identity of the candidate is in doubt the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the Online Examination.

A Candidate who is found breaching the abovesaid direction or found to be indulging in ‘unfair practices’, viz. copying or misconduct during the course of examination, using electronic gadgets or Mobile Phones, etc., tampering with Question and/or Answer Paper, influencing any person concerned with the Elimination Test or Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, will be debarred from appearing for Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) or Main Written Examination or Viva-voce Test, as the case may be, for that Examination Process or for any number of years or permanently.

Merit List: Candidates qualifying the norms as prescribed in the advertisement will be called for Written Test / online test. Selection will be based on the marks secured in the Written Test / online test in the order of merit
