ONLINE EXAMINATION (CBT) : The question paper for ONLINE EXAMINATION (Computer based test) will be of Objective type in the Engineering standard. For Electrical Engineering it will be in English and for Mechanical and Civil it will be in English as well as Tamil.

Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered.

Exam Date

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility conditions for admission to the Examination. Their admission for Online EXAMINATION will be purely provisional, subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions. The certificates should be submitted when called for certificate verification by the TANGEDCO. If on verification, at any time, before or after the Online EXAMINATION, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for the examination will be cancelled by the TANGEDCO.

In the examination hall, the call letter along with the candidate’s currently valid photo identity, in original, such as PAN Card/Passport/Driving Licence/Voter’s Card with photograph/Photo identity proof issued on original letter head by a Gazzetted Officer/People’s Representative or Identity Card issued by a recognised college/ University (valid in current year)/Aadhar card with a photograph/ Employee ID, should be submitted to the invigilator for verification.

CENTRES FOR EXAMINATION

The centre for examination will be updated in the TANGEDCO website and will be informed to the candidates in their registered mail id.

Candidates should ensure their eligibility for examination: The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions for admission to examination. Their admission to the examination will be purely provisional subject to satisfying of the eligibility conditions. Mere issue of memo of admission to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been fully cleared by the TANGEDCO.

Read Candidates for Important Instruction

Candidates Are Not Allowed To Carry Any Electronic/Mechanical Communication Device Including Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Tablet Etc. Calculators, Books, Scale Or Drawing Instruments Are Not Allowed Inside The Examination Hall. The Commission Shall Not Be Responsible For Safe Custody Of Mobile Phones Etc.

And As Such Will Have No Liability In Case Of Loss Or Damage. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Hall until an hour has elapsed from the commencement of the examination nor during the last 30 minutes of the allotted time without submitting the Booklets.

Answer Sheet: The TNEB AE Candidate should hand over the OMR Answer Sheet personally to the Invigilator on duty before he/she leaves the Examination Hall. No candidate shall be allowed to go to Toilet / Urinal during the last 30 minutes of Examination. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall 20 minutes after commencement of the examination. The candidate will be admitted to take the examination at the Centre specified in the Admission Certificate only and at no other Centre.
