General English – 100 marks
Syllabus – In addition to testing of candidate’s understanding and comprehension of the English Language, questions On its Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms and its correct usage etc would also be covered.
Elementary Math – 100 marks
Syllabus:- The test of Arithmetical and Numerical Abilities will cover number systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Data Interpretations, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit and Loss, Discount, Simple and Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time And Work, Time and Distance, Tables and Graphs etc.

The questions will be designed to test knowledge of Current Events and of such matter of everyday observation as may be expected of an educated person. The ca ndidature of the candidate to the written examination is entirely provisional and subject to the outcome of any direction/decision/order/pronouncement of any Court of Law and mere issue of Admit Card or appearance at the examination does not entitle him/her to any claim for the post.

The successful candidate will be required to submit legible Self attested copies of the documents and Adm it Card along with the hard copy of print out of online application form at the time of verification of document s (any information contained in the attached certificates shall not be considered unless it is claimed in the application form).

Physical standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Trade Test :
Physical standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) shall be carried out at the designated recruitment centre which will be intimated through call letter and APSSB website. List of accepted/rejected candidates and date & time for PST/PET will be uploaded in APSSB website at www.apssb.in
PET and PST will be of qualifying nature only.
Candidates will have to qualify in the PST and PET to be able to appear for subsequent stages.
Trade Test : The applicants for the post of Constable (Band/Bugler) IRBn (Male), H/C Driver and Constable Driver (Civil Police) who qualify the PST/PET will have to undergo a Trade Test, carrying 100 Marks.
The Board reserves the right to cancel any centre of exam and ask t he candidates of t hat centre to appear at another centre. The Board also reserves the right to direct the candidates of any centre to some other centre to take the exam. No request for change in date, time and centre of exam will be accepted under any circumstances.
Read Candidates for Important Instruction
Candidates Are Not Allowed To Carry Any Electronic/Mechanical Communication Device Including Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Tablet Etc. Calculators, Books, Scale Or Drawing Instruments Are Not Allowed Inside The Examination Hall. The Commission Shall Not Be Responsible For Safe Custody Of Mobile Phones Etc.
And As Such Will Have No Liability In Case Of Loss Or Damage. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Hall until an hour has elapsed from the commencement of the examination nor during the last 30 minutes of the allotted time without submitting the Booklets.
Answer Sheet: The APSSB Head Constable & Forester Candidate should hand over the OMR Answer Sheet personally to the Invigilator on duty before he/she leaves the Examination Hall. No candidate shall be allowed to go to Toilet / Urinal during the last 30 minutes of Examination. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall 20 minutes after commencement of the examination. The candidate will be admitted to take the examination at the Centre specified in the Admission Certificate only and at no other Centre.
