Only Odisha Secondary School Teachers Eligibility Test (OSSTET) & Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) passed/qualified candidates(at secondary level), having professional qualification of B.Ed or Training Qualification as applicable for the posts of TGT(Hindi) and TGT(Sanskrit) are eligible to apply for the posts of TGT (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Maths, Odia, Science and Social Studies).

The candidates with professional qualification of Special B.Ed or D.Ed are not eligible to apply for these posts. The candidates who have not passed the OSSTET/CTET(at secondary level) but otherwise eligible may apply for the post with a condition that they shall have to pass OSSTET/CTET(at secondary level) within 3 years of joining in the post and they have to submit an Undertaking to that effect at the time of interview.

  2. The decision of the OVAS with regard to the mode of selection to the above posts and eligibility conditions of the applicants for interview shall be final and binding.
  3. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
  4. The Online Question Paper will be bilingual (i.e., English & Odia Languages Only).
  5. The candidates will be required to report at the examination centre at least 1 ½ Hours (90 minutes) before the commencement of online examination.

ADMIT CARD

The OAVS will verify the eligibility at various stages of the recruitment and selection process. The candidates should prove his/her eligibility at all stages of selection process and even after appointment. Mere issue of E – Admit Card to the candidate will not imply that his/her candidature has been accepted by OAVS.

INTERVIEW (60 Marks)

Part-II, Part-III and Part-IV of the test of the candidate will be evaluated only if he/she qualifies in Part-I securing minimum 5 marks each in English and Odia subjects and 13 marks in aggregate.

The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in Parts II, III, IV & interview (40+30+70+60=200).

For preparation of the final merit, the weighted evaluation scheme will be examination (Parts II, III& IV) and interview: 70% and 30%.

Certificate or Document Verification

The candidates called for interview shall be advised to produce certain documents in original and also to submit the attested photocopies thereof at the time of document verification. Such documents shall be listed in the call letter. If the identity of the candidate is in doubt or he/she is not able to produce the requisite documents or there is mismatch of information in the documents, he/she will not be allowed to appear for interview and his/her candidature will be treated as cancelled.

Candidates Are Not Allowed To Carry Any Electronic/Mechanical Communication Device Including Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphone, Tablet Etc. Calculators, Books, Scale Or Drawing Instruments Are Not Allowed Inside The Examination Hall. The Commission Shall Not Be Responsible For Safe Custody Of Mobile Phones Etc.

And As Such Will Have No Liability In Case Of Loss Or Damage. No candidate shall be permitted to leave the Examination Hall until an hour has elapsed from the commencement of the examination nor during the last 30 minutes of the allotted time without submitting the Booklets.

Answer Sheet: The OAVS TGT PGT Candidate should hand over the OMR Answer Sheet personally to the Invigilator on duty before he/she leaves the Examination Hall. No candidate shall be allowed to go to Toilet / Urinal during the last 30 minutes of Examination. No candidate will be admitted to the Examination Hall 20 minutes after commencement of the examination. The candidate will be admitted to take the examination at the Centre specified in the Admission Certificate only and at no other Centre.
